IT’S OK TO OUTGROW THE LIFE YOU THOUGHT YOU WANTED

I feel at ease painting from my vague memory— those moments that I replay in my head from time to time are the ones that need to have permanence. I spend some time daydreaming of the canvas and how I want to portray those memories and the colors and textures that bring me back to that moment in time.

I want the paintings to be created in real-time as my memory recalls it— imperfections are always revealed in the signature unfinished areas of each painting.

Endurance and patience are defining elements for me; there needs to be a sense of intimacy and stress throughout the work so that it embraces a vulnerable attribute to it.

The pieces are for me and you— the celebration of the mundane and the joyous.
